In Threes, children become increasingly confident navigating the rhythms of the school day, forming friendships, making choices, and taking a more active role in the classroom community.
Through play, conversation, investigation, and the arts, teachers build on children’s growing independence and curiosity, helping them develop new skills, pursue their interests, and learn alongside one another.
1:5 teacher-child ratio
Our low teacher-to-child ratio allows teachers to know each child closely, respond to their developing interests and needs, and provide the right balance of support and independence throughout the day.
Child-led learning
Children’s interests, questions, and ideas help shape the classroom experience, giving them an active role in deciding what and how they explore.
Process-focused
Open-ended materials and experiences encourage children to experiment, revisit ideas, and discover different ways of doing things, with the emphasis on exploration rather than a finished result.
A day in Threes

Children settle into the classroom, reconnect with friends and teachers, and ease into the day through books, conversation, and familiar activities.

The class comes together to share ideas, talk about what they are exploring, and build the routines and relationships that shape the day.

Children pursue their interests through open-ended classroom experiences alongside specialist-led art, music, movement, and drama.

Outdoor play gives children space to move, explore, take risks, and strengthen friendships through shared play.

Children gather for lunch, practicing independence and conversation around the table. Children enrolled in the morning schedule then dismiss for the day.

Full-day children have a quieter period after lunch to rest and recharge before the afternoon begins.

The afternoon brings another period of classroom activity, specialist experiences, conversation, and collaborative play.

Children come together for an afternoon snack before wrapping up the day and transitioning home.
