CHP is a cooperative preschool that has been a member of the Brooklyn community for over 50 years. Our NAEYC accreditation, our expert staff, and our child-centered, play-based program provide students with a high-quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood education. Our cooperative structure offers families meaningful opportunities for involvement.
Twos Program:
Our twos program provides a supportive entry to schooling that focuses on building relationships that foster growth. Our caring community prepares our youngest learners to be curious and confident learners.

Threes & Fours Program:
Our threes and fours programs provide highly engaging opportunities for children to learn through play. Masters level early childhood educators work with a team of arts specialists to craft an inquiry-driven, child-led preschool experience.

Extended Day
We are very excited to launch our Extended Day Program for 2023-24! Extended day options are on Tuesdays & Thursdays until 6:00 pm. We hope to build out this program as interest from our community increases.
BUY OUTS
As a cooperative, we rely on the support, time, and commitment of each and every family. By having parents share their time and talents, we are able to keep costs down, grow the CHP team, and create a rich, memorable experience for the children.
To support our cooperative, we ask that parents perform approximately 15 volunteer hours per year, yet we understand this is not always possible. In such cases, we offer a buy-out option where you can contribute $500 per half-day session of extra tuition and opt out of the volunteer hours.
