Worm Loves Worm  |  J.J. Austrian

Spring is here and love is in the air.  Just open this book and you are invited to the wedding of two tender and smitten worms. Worm Loves Worm is a celebration of love.

Wedding planning can be stressful. In this story, spider, cricket, beetle and bees are feeling the stress of planning the celebration. The insects insist that the worms do all the things they “need” to do, like wear rings (hint, worms have no fingers) and carry flowers (same problem here).  When it comes to who will wear the tux and who will wear the dress, each worm wears a bit of both. Cricket gets upset because this is NOT the way a wedding has always been done. Love will find a way as Worm and Worm decide they will change how it has always been done. The wedding takes place and everyone is happy, because Worm loves Worm.

The story and the sweet illustrations are so endearing.  Michael Curato is a favorite illustrator. You can find Little Elliot, Big City as another CHP Book of the Month.

I think you are going to adore this book, because it is all about the love.
