Elizabeth Hershon received a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and later a Masters from Hunter College in Early Childhood Education. Throughout her career, she has combined a passion for creating art and teaching. Starting out at Greenwich House Music School in Greenwich Village as an art teacher, she went on to become a pivotal figure in the school’s community. Elizabeth established and taught several learning programs for children from 2 to 8 years old.

Elizabeth is also a working artist with several shows to her credit. In her spare time she sings traditional music, she is a member of the folk society of New York and attends several music festivals a year. She is a published poet and artist.

I always wished that I could play the fiddle.

My family.

My sense of humor.

Where would you like to live?
I would like to live in Southern Spain for a while.

My heroes and heroines change all the time; young or old, someone who shows me something new.
