board member at large

Magda Cruz is a returning member of the CHP Board of Directors - she first served in 2005 when her daughter, now in high school, attended CHP at the old Union Street location.  A member of the Board that managed purchasing CHP's current space, she served on the parent team that was instrumental in securing a permanent home for our school.  She currently serves as the Member at Large, bringing with her both a long-standing support of the school and a wealth of legal expertise.  A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Magda is an attorney who specializes in appeals and complex litigation in the real estate field.  She has also served as a member of the Housing Court Advisory Council, Women in Housing and Finance, and the NYC Rent Guidelines Board.  Magda is also passionate about music education and the need to support and expand youth performance opportunities, especially in underserved communities.  She is a member of the Board of the Brooklyn Youth Music Project.
